Welcome! Thank you for your interest in consigning with Cat’s Closet. We can’t wait to see what you’re bringing in! Below you will find a detailed explanation of our consignment procedures.
What We Accept
Designer girl’s clothing ages 5-10, tween and teen clothing through high school. What do we mean by designer? Our favorite brands are Boden, Blank NYC, Burberry, Butter, Cheryl Creations, Dori Creations, Flowers by Zoe, Hannah Sky, Hudson, Hunter, Janie and Jack, Joe’s Jeans, Milly, Mini Boden, Peace, Love, World, Peek, Petit Bateau, Ralph Lauren, Seven for all Mankind, So Nikki, Splendid, Terez, Tractr, Tea Collection, The North Face, Ugg Australia, Vineyard Vines, Vintage Havana, Wildfox and Zara Terez.
We sometimes accept more basic children’s brands such as American Apparel and Uniqlo. Within these brands, we are looking for pieces that are a step above—a tee in a great color, a dress in an amazing pattern, a sweatshirt only sold in Europe . We price our basics lower than our designer clothes, but they sell quickly!
There are a few brands we do not accept, because we don’t believe that they will sell well with our customers. They are:
· Cat & Jack
· Children’s Place
· Old Navy

How to Drop Items Off
Please call, text of email to set an appointment to bring in your items. We will go through your pieces while you wait or you may leave your items and return later to take items that we decide to pass on. We will email your consignment receipt/inventory list within five days of acceptance.
Your Share of the Profits
You will receive 50% of the selling price of the items you consign with us. For items over $250 retail value. You will receive 60% of the selling price.
Cat's Closet begins processing Commission payments on the 15th day of every month for sales that occurred during the previous month. For example, payments processed on January 15th would cover the sales period from December 1st thru December 31st. Payments will be made to you by physical check.
We price our merchandise at a 40-60% discount from current retail prices. Prices vary based on the condition of each item.
We keep your items on the floor for 90 days. We do our best to sell your items at full price, but they may be marked down on or about day 30.
If an Item Remains Unsold
We work hard to make sure all of your pieces sell! If, after 90 days, some of your items have not sold, they will be pulled from the sales floor. You have the choice to donate or pick up these items.
If you would like to donate your unsold items, you don’t need to do anything—we’ll take care of it. We love to support our community by donating items to charity.
If you would like to pick up your unsold items, just call or email us. When you call, you may find that everything has sold, or that you will be happy to donate the few things that did not. If there is a piece or two you would like back, please let us know and we will pack and hold those items in the store for 10 business days.
Unsold, not picked up items become the property of the store and are contributed to various local charities chosen by Cat’s Closet.
We can only donate to non-profits with whom we have existing agreements. If you would like us to add an organization to our list, let us know and we will work to make it happen
